I’m glad that we got a clearTVbundle. Now, I have been able to start watching my new favorite show. Over the holidays, I started getting into watching “Vampire Diaries”. I like all shows that have some sort of supernatural undertones. I have always liked “True Blood” and the “X-Files”. “Vampire Diaries” is sort of like the “O.C.” mixed with vampires and warewolves. I started watching the show over the holidays when my parents gave us a blu-ray player that runs on our wireless internet. I watched the first two season in three weeks! That is a lot of television watching, but I had a lot of time on my hands. Now, the third season is coming on tv and I have been able to watch it. I just wish that I could watch the episodes faster, but I have to wait until ever Thursday. I even ditched watching my other favorite show so that I could start watching “Vampire Diaries”. This is the first season that I have missed “Project Runway”. I have to say, I really don’t even miss it that much!

My husband and I are planning on building a bigger house someday, i know its not gonna be easy but we have the hope that in future we can achieve our dream. Horseback Riding

It has been three months already since we come back from our vacation in Cozumel Mexico. I really miss the place, i been to Mexico many times already but that was my first time in Cozumel.I fell in love with the place right away, its like a paradise to me.The place is just perfect, from the white sand beach, to the warm climate and delicious food. We had a really great time especially the kids, we rented a car and drove around the island.

We also went horseback riding, I was so scared because it was my first time riding a horse. I wasn't gonna try it but my husband was begging me so i give in, after all it was a vacation and we were there to have fun. I'm glad i tried it, horse riding is definitely fun especially once you get the hang of it. After a while, i was riding with ease and confidence already. It was an awesome experience and I would definitely do it again.But next i ill make sure to a wear comfortable clothing.

I had a very busy day today, i did all my chores. Gaining Weight

Christmas Shopping

Christmas is just around the corner, are you guys done with your christmas shopping yet? People ACT from their emotions, and they later JUSTIFY their actions with logic. But small kids don’t have the ability to use logic, so they act purely from emotion.

2. We tend to overuse the word “No” when we talk to our kids. You remember the story of the boy who cried wolf, right? The little shepherd boy was bored while watching the sheep so he decided to cry wolf and make the villagers come running. Before long, they stopped responding to his false cries. When a parent cries “No” at every little thing, kids stop listening. The parent’s cries fade into the background. I’ll teach you multiple ways to get what you want without screaming “NO” at your child – and it simply works better!

3. If you want to have any chance at all of influencing your child’s behavior, you MUST have rapport first. Rapport simply means having an emotional connection to another person. I’ll show you how you can learn LOTS of ways to create this crucial emotional bridge before you change a child’s behavior.

4. Language is a powerful tool and there are a bunch of tactics you need to learn to create the outcomes you want. Here’s a specific tip: Use positive language instead of negative language. This is explained in detail either in the free audio lesson above, and in the video presentation.

Honestly, i hate being around people who smoke. I'm glad i married a guy who does not smoke at all. During my last visit to my home country (PHILIPPINES) i can't stand looking at my younger brothers smoking. I scolded them because they don't have a stable job but yet their spending too much money for cigarette every month. I told them, aside from lung cancer and all, smoking can also make you look older, but they just completely ignore me. They learned to smoke at a very young age and they learned it from their friends. Young people are more likely to start smoking if their friends or family are smokers. I don't know what's wrong with teenagers nowadays, teens of today act so recklessly and disrespectfully than teens a few years ago.

Anyway, I'm planning to send a balikbayan box next month, i might buy an electric cigarettes for my two brothers. Many parents assume that attitude isn't something that develops until the preadolescent or teen years. But times have changed, and any parent paying attention now realizes that even a four-year-old can have all the full-blown symptoms of a bad attitude. And boy, can they make us miserable: their sass, back talk, and greedy, manipulative, bossy, and even defiant ways let us know in no uncertain terms that these little critters are on the road to poor character and a lack of moral intelligence – not to mention the damage their attitude can do to your family harmony. So don't think for a minute that bad attitude starts only when kids start watching MTV, talking on cell phones, sending instant e-mail messages, and playing video games.

Of course, they don't start out that way: the onset of a bad attitude has usually begun with smaller but definitely annoying actions – a whiny tone, a fresh comment, or a quiet rebuttal of an adult's request. Parents usually assumed their kids' conduct was "just a phase" or a single slip, and let it slide. And there lies our mistake. If not nipped early, this ailment spreads easily. Do beware: bad attitudes are highly contagious. If there are other siblings in the house, chances are they will catch it, too.

Kids with bad attitude come in all sizes, both genders, all ages, and all cultures. They can be rich or poor; reside in rural, urban, or suburban areas; attend private or public school; have multiple siblings or be only children; live with a single parent or with both. The diversity of their lives seems to have little bearing on whether they acquire the dreaded ailment, although there is one factor that clearly is the greatest predictor for getting the disease: kids were allowed to develop the bad attitude without opposition, and because there was no resistance or reaction, these bad attitudes flourished and grew.

They're Moving

My sister inlaw is currently looking for apartments for rent in Edmonton. They are moving temporarily to Edmonton Alberta, i don't know for how long though. We all know how hard it is to find a job nowadays especially in this economy, even for the qualified people. So when the company offered her a job, she accepted the position without any hesitation.

The good thing is, they're moving not that far from where we live so we can visit them without a problem, as long as we're not busy. They're both excited but not looking forward to the lifting of heavy stuff. My husband and I promised to help this weekend, moving to another place is always going to require a lot of hard work, i should know because we just moved here couple months ago. It's a lot of work, packing and unpacking all the stuff, not to mention i have to take care of my kids at the same time. After we are done with everything i told my husband that we are not moving for at least 10 or 15 years.

Anyway, we wish them Good Luck on their future endeavors.

Isn't every kid special? We think so, but what do we mean when we say "kids with special needs"? This means any kid who might need extra help because of a medical, emotional, or learning problem. These kids have special needs because they might need medicine, therapy, or extra help in school — stuff other kids don't typically need or only need once in a while.

Maybe you know of kids in your school who need a wheelchair or use braces when they walk. Those kids have special needs. They not only need the equipment that helps them get around, but they might need to have ramps or elevators available. They also might need to get a special bus to school — one that lifts them up into the bus so they don't have to get up the steps.

Kids who have an illness, such as epilepsy, diabetes, or cerebral palsy, would have special needs, too. They might need medicine or other help as they go about their daily activities. Kids with sight problems might need Braille books to read. Kids with hearing or speech problems would have special needs, too. A kid who has hearing trouble might need hearing aids to hear and speech training, too, since it can be hard to say words correctly when you can't hear very well.

Kids with learning problems often have special needs. Kids with Down syndrome might go to a regular school and might even be in your class. But they have special needs when it comes to learning, so an aide (someone to help) might come with them to class.

You might be able to spot a few kids with special needs, but you probably don't notice all of them. A kid could have a problem that isn't noticeable unless you know the person well. For instance, someone could have trouble with anxiety (worry), but you wouldn't know it unless the kid told you about it. Its past midnight now and I'm still wide awake. I'm currently browsing my friend's photo on facebook. When i open my facebook profile i noticed her new pictures right away. She might just downloaded it few minutes ago because i didn't see it earlier. She uploaded tons of new pictures from her recent vacation. I love the picture of her inside the private jet charter,she received a lot of compliments from her friends as well. I asked her who is the owner of private jet charter,but she said she dont know. She still uploading photos and videos but I'm already sleepy, ill watch it tomorrow.

I hope I'll fall asleep right away. I'm having a hard time going to sleep at night lately. I don't know what happen to me, i cant seem to close my eyes no matter how tired I am when I go to bed. Last night, I went to bed at 3 o'clock in the morning and woke up at 8 am. During the day i get so cranky and I feel so stressed out due to lack of sleep. I'm trying to break this habit for my own sake.

Fall Cleaning

Its crazy how fast time flies, It's time for fall cleaning again. We have been doing some fall cleaning here. My husband cut the grass yesterday while I'm cleaning the deck. I sweep all the leaves in the deck and put it all in the garbage bag, i also put my kid's outdoor toys away and throw out the broken ones. Now, we have a mountain of garbage bags pilling up in our garage. I'm glad its garbage day tomorrow, we can get rid some of the garbage bags.

Few more things and we are done in the outside, then its time to do some deep cleaning inside. I'm planning to begin my fall cleaning inside the house next week. It is inevitable when you have more than one child. Eventually, no matter how well they get along most of the time, there will be a fight. In some families, this fighting is rare - in most families, sibling fighting is one of the great energy drains for parents. How do you get your kids to get along?

Kids fight for different reasons and therefore different tactics apply.

1. Kids fight when they are bored. Have an anti-boredom plan available at the first sign of boredom fighting. One good answer is to send the combatants into neutral corners with a good book"¦think of it as time out with educational entertainment. In a boredom fight, you don't need to listen to long "he did this" and "she did that" explanations - just enforce an immediate book time out. You will be amazed at how fast that encourages cooperative play - and improves reading skills at the same time.

2. Kids fight to get your attention. This is similar to the boredom fight. When kids feel you haven't given them enough attention, they may fight to get more. In a situation like this, the favored child may instigate a fight simply because he can. Children can be corrupted by power as easily as adults. Do you always take the side of one child over another? Be certain the real problem doesn't lie with perceived favoritism on your part.

4. Kids fight when one child feels slighted by the other. Often older siblings reach a stage when playing with the younger child becomes socially unacceptable. The older sibling feels he is too old to play with the "baby" or is afraid his friends will ridicule him. Try to find activities they can do together occasionally but encourage the younger child to respect the elder's "space." Especially do not force public play - this can lead to embarrassment and greater sibling resentment.

5. Kids fight out of habit. Sometimes bullying and spitefulness become habits between siblings. Enforce a "meanness-free zone" in your home. To break the meanness habit, make a poster for each child and give points whenever you "catch" one child speaking or behaving kindly to the other. Erase points for any meanness or belittling. Have a much desire prize for each child as soon a set number of points is reached. You will be amazed at the change in sibling interaction with such incentive and once the habit of unpleasant interaction is broken, new habits can more easily be formed.

I have always enjoyed outdoor activities like camping, biking, kayaking, fishing and hiking. I remember when i was a kid, we used to take a hike everyday, its the only way to get to the mountain where we get some of our food. Family Vacation

I cant wait to go on our next family vacation this coming December. We have booked the trip and made all dining reservations in the hotel were going to stay at. We are going to Cozumel Mexico this time. Its going to be my first time in Cozumel and I'm so excited about it. My husband and I make sure to take a vacation atleast once a year, its expensive but its worth the money. We stayed in Bahamas for 10 days but this time, its going to be a 14 days vacation in Cozumel.

I'm so excited for this weekend, its going to be a lot of fun.My mother in law will celebrate her birthday on Saturday.We are planning a surprise birthday party for her at my sister in law's house. I had so much fun shopping with my friends last weekend.Since I'm not driving yet,my friend has to picked me up from my house,good thing she doesn't live that far from us.I brought my youngest son with me because my husband cant take care of the two kids at the same time.

No one likes a sick day. For kids it's a complete waste of a good day off of school because, well, they're sick. What's the fun in that? And for parents, there's dealing with that feverish little pumpkin, and all the fun that comes with picking up snot-covered tissues and cleaning up barf. Not to mention a working parent often ends up using their own sick days for junior.

So how do you know if you REALLY have to keep the kids home from school for the day? If they meet the following criteria, it's time to call your boss -- you're both staying home:

1. Does he have a fever? Rules vary by school, but most require a child be fever-free for at least 24 hours before returning to the classroom. The general consensus is that anything 100.4 degrees or higher is reason to keep a kid home (but you can check with your child's school for an exact figure).

2. How does she feel? Just because a child's fever has dipped doesn't mean they're feeling up to the rigors of keeping up with their classwork, gym class, etc. If they're feeling "wiped out," the American Academy of Pediatrics recommends you keep them home. Better to play catch-up when they're well than have them flunk a test because they were exhausted.

3. Is he contagious? If there's any chance that other kids in the class are going to wind up with your kid's creepy crawlies, do the other parents a favor: keep YOUR kid home. Wouldn't you rather they do the same for you? Your doctor can help determine what's contagious or not -- some diseases are contagious all the way through, while some can only be spread at different times.

4. Does she have vomiting or diarrhea? She may be feeling fine between her outbursts, but these are uncomfortable and potentially embarrassing conditions. It's best to allow a child to stay home, and near their own bathroom, until they've been vomit/diarrhea-free for at least 24 hours.

5. Is it pink eye (conjunctivitis)? Most schools will not accept a child with pink eye who has not visited a doctor and been cleared to interact with classmates.

6. Is it strep throat? Children should stay home at least 24 hours after beginning antibiotics to treat their strep.

My First Interview Experience

I had my very first job interview today,the questions were a little more difficult than i expected but i manage to answer them all.I'm glad the interviewers were very nice people and they keep telling me not to be nervous.I applied for an CNA position,i hope i will get the job.The last interviewer said that they will call me back sometimes next week.

We had fun at the chucky cheese today,my friend invited us for her daughter's birthday party.At first i was hesitant to go because i really don't like their food but then i realized it wasn't about me.When my son heard the word "CHUCKY CHEESE" he was so happy and excited to go.We went there at 12 o'clock and didn't come home till 4.I'm glad we went to the party,everyone was having fun including the adults.

Me and my friends also enjoyed the games.We had fun playing the basketball and the bowling game.So i guess,chucky cheese is not only for kids but also for adults.lol.Anyway, what i like most about attending party is, i get to met a lot of new friends.I met this very nice lady in the party,she is really polite and pretty as well.She lives not far from our place,i wish i have met her long time ago because i really like her.I was sad when she told me that they are actually moving next couple months.I didn't even get a chance to know her well.

She's Moving

I just got done talking to my friend on the phone.She lives on the other side of the state.It has been a long time since the last time i saw her and her husband.I wish we could visit them one of these days before they move to Hawaii.

I was sad when she told me that they are actually considering moving to beautiful Island State of Hawaii.As a matter of fact they are currently looking for a new home.They found a few Hawaii Real Estate For Sale online and their plan is to look for a real estate agent to help them buy their new place.

I'm excited to watch the Mrs.Philippine Michigan pageant next month.I've been watching beauty pageants since i was a little girl.I like watching the beauty pageant contestants,just like every other girl on the planet.I think majority of women do love to watch beauty pageants and I am one of them.I already bought a ticket for this event.Only five contestants will compete for the title this time and all the girls are looking fabulous and gorgeous in their pictorial.I cant wait to see them performing live.

I'm still looking for a perfect dress to be worn to the event.My friend is also asking me to find a perfect dress for her to wear.She is a busy woman and she had no time to go shopping.This is gonna be a challenge for me because she is a plus size woman, she'll need plus size clothes to fit her.We all know that finding fashionable and affordable plus size clothing can be a real challenge.

Fun Weekend

We just come back from our short visit to my cousin who live 180 miles away.We stayed there for 2 nights and 3 days.The main purpose of the visit is to celebrate our birthday together,we have the same birthday.

I'm glad we get to see them again after 2 years.Yeah! we live not very far from them but we barely see each other because of my husband's busy schedule.My cousin and her husband has also been super busy,they are both working.We had a blast celebrating our birthday and so did all the people who attended.We went to a nearby park and have a picnic with friends.It was a potluck party,people who attended bring food to share with everyone.Filipino food was flooding in the table and i couldn't stop eating,my diet was ruined once again.Who could resist when all of my favorite food was in the table.The picnic was indeed fun,we share food and laugh together.
